Lively music, own arrangements, experience and high virtuosity skill of Wroclaw Salon Music Band Orpheus' musicians make the band have its own style and unique sound, what makes it stand out among thousands of music bands.
Salon Orchestra "Orpheus" is based and has it origin in the tradition of Viennese peripheries' bands and in the beginnings of the Strauss' era. Today it performs in unchanged five-person composition, as Johann Strauss (father) and Josef Lanner used to play at the beginnings of their activity.
All of the band members are graduates from the Wroclaw Music Academy. They have given countless concerts and added splendour to many parties, each time achieving success and gainig audience's recognition. They have also performed in Netherlands and Germany.
Wroclaw Salon Music Band "Orpheus" is like two in one - in a proffessional edition.
Virtuosity and outstanding playing skills on several musical instruments together with excellent sense of diverse musical styles make the band combine elements of classical and light music, adapting to the needs of modern audience. Very few musicians have the skills to merge classical and light music. Each concert and each musical party is unique, because the band performs live art - without playbacks or electronic backgrounds, commonly used in modern music.
Orpheus' repertoire consists of carefully chosen - to create a mood of good fun - compositions from the borderland of classical and light music. The band has approximately 180 studies of classical music and 200 studies of dance and light music in its repertoire.
